Visualisation of a poem on Domestic Violence.

My Role: Production Design, Concept, Direction, Poetry, and Cinematography

This experimental short film is a personal project exploring the urgent issues of domestic violence and femicide, inspired by global events and the rising number of cases in Greece.

The film visually portrays two women who meet in a metaphorical purgatory, a space where they can simply be, free from the constraints of their brutal realities. This seemingly peaceful „time-out“ serves as a sharp critique of societal tolerance toward domestic abuse, and highlights how one person can quickly find themselves in a similar place as another. My work was to create a visual language that balances the film’s poetic nature with its somber subject matter.
